It’s that time of the week again! FRIDAY! Woohoo! And, you know what that means? It’s time for another Book Blogger Hop par-tay!
Yes, I know I keep saying this, but my designer was out of town this week, so my graphic is “not quite” finalized yet! I have to tell you, though, that from what I’ve seen, it’s the funniest and cutest graphic EVER!! You are going to LOVE it, so I promise that the wait will be worth it!!!
Did you take the Book Blogger Hop survey? I’ve had a pretty good response with lots of great comments! It’s open til Monday, so feel free to add your 2 cents! It’s anonymous!
A couple of comments that I thought may help the Hop are:
1. Distinguishing between “old” and “new” bloggers. A “new” blogger is defined as someone who has been book blogging less than 3 months OR has less than 50 followers. This way, we can find you easier!
2. Indicating what type of books you review on your blog. With all the links on the Hop, we all don’t have time to visit every blog listed. I think it would be helpful if we indicated what books we review so we can visit those blogs that are of interest to us.
I don’t expect everyone to visit and follow every single blog listed on the Hop MckLinky. Believe me, my Google Reader is out of control, so I understand! On the survey, many people indicated that they check out 1-10 blogs on the Hop. The Hop isn’t just for you to throw your link in there and not visit any other blogs. It’s all about networking and finding new blogs that are of interest. So, in the spirit of the Hop, try to make some time to visit other blogs and don’t post your link if you are not planning on visiting other blogs in the Hop that week. This is a weekly event, so if you don’t have time this week, that’s fine! We’ll see you next week!
With all that said, let’s get on with the party!! Let’s try a new format and see how it works. When you are adding your link into MckLinky, please follow this format:
I’ll setup MckLinky to allow extra characters in the post, but don’t go crazy. I have a wide range of genres I like, but I don’t read paranormal/science fiction/fantasy, so it was easier for me to state what I DON’T review! LOL

This is such a cool idea. Reading the comments, I realize I didn't post my link properly either! I didn't realize you were supposed to mention what your blog consists of. Oh, I just found this, and I think it's adorable! I'm just making sure though, because I don't want to steal your idea, but did I sort of copy this with my Saturday Network? It's different but a little similar, and I like to give credit where it's due (not sure how similar they actually are, since I like to give credit to everything just in case, lol). I started it in January and there's some more info about it on my blog; I think they're different, but I just wanted to double-check to avoid possible future confusion.

I'm having a weird book day so I hope people forgive my blog. Today's books aren't what I typically have over a week. I just happened to finish two nonfiction books right next to each other. Nonfiction books are hard to write reviews for (especially slightly touchy topics) and I struggled with the reviews so… its been a rough book day or two days I guess.
This is such a great idea! I like that we are listing what we read- it really does make it easier to find blogs I like when I don't have time to go through every single one.

I fall under the concept of new blogger (blogging less than 3 months, but have more than 50 followers) so I'm not sure exactly where I fit in here. My only excuse is that I just got back from holidays and I'm still not back in the right mindset.
