My Heart Remembers is a moving story of 3 Irish-born siblings, orphaned as young children, who are hoping to find their way back to each other.

When a house fire leaves Maelle, Mattie, and Molly Gallagher orphaned in a New York City tenement, they are boarded onto an “orphan train” and shipped to an orphanage in Missouri where new families await them. Unfortunately, the siblings are unable to be adopted together and are separated for seventeen years.

Maelle Gallagher, the eldest child, is taken in by a traveling photographer who teaches her the trade. Maelle promised her siblings that she would find them again someday and will not stop until she does.

Matthew “Mattie” Gallagher, the middle child, is taken in by a bereft mother and father who recently lost their son.

Molly Gallagher, the youngest, and just an infant when adopted by a well-to-do family from Kansas City, has no recollection of her birth family until some unforeseen circumstances bring to light her past heritage.

Maelle, Mattie, and Molly withstand many challenges throughout each of their lives, but through their faith in God, they find the strength to survive all circumstances. But, will these three siblings ever come to find each other again?

My Heart Remembers is going into the top 5 best books I’ve ever read. I absolutely could not put this book down. It is wrought with so much emotion that it was difficult to stop reading it for even a second. The characters are vivid and portrayed so realistically that they leap right off the page and into your heart. I felt that each of them were sitting right next to me and telling me their stories as I was reading the book. The plot was phenomenal and not like anything I have ever read before. The uniqueness of the book is what really drew me in and held my interest. Amazing story, amazing characters… just Crazy Amazing!

Highly, highly recommended!

Til next time, stay crazy….for books, that is!

Thanks for the great review, I put it on my "to read" list. I love family sagas (The Invisible Mountain by Carolina de Robertis is a good one)
