In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don’t have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
RULES:
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
1. Post about the Hop on your blog (feel free to grab the logo at the top of the post!)
Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier!
In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!).
This week’s question comes from Elena who blogs at Books and Reviews! Thanks for submitting a question for our Hoppers, Elena! Be sure to visit her blog and tell her thank you!
“When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”
My answer: I love this question! But, I really don’t know the answer!
I remember back in Kindergarten I got a promotional book in the mail (some fairy tale book, from what I remember!), and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It had a purple cover and it was addressed to me. I read that book over and over. But, my family always promoted reading. My grandmother is a big-time reader. Throughout my childhood, my best friend and I would spend hours at the library and come home with 20-30 books each, read them in a week or two, and go back for more. So, I’ve never known life without books in it and them being important to me. Of course, I can’t read 20-30 books in a week anymore, so the books I do choose to read must be worth my time and energy.
I need more questions!!! If you have a suggestion for a future HOP question, click here to fill out the form! Thanks!
2. Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below.
In your description, please state the main genre that you review – Example: Crazy-for-Books (contemp. adult fiction)
3. Visit other blogs in the Linky List!
Make new friends! Follow new book bloggers! Talk about books! Rave about authors! Take the time to make a quality visit! Check out other posts and content, make a new friend! Don’t randomly follow someone if you never intend on actually following them! No spamming please! (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs – it’s just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)
***Failure to adhere to the above 3 rules may result in removal of your link from the Linky List.***
Have fun HOPPING and enjoy your BOOK PARTY weekend!!!

My love of books began super early too!
Glad to see I’m not alone in that!
Hahah that’s awesome! Sounds a lot like my childhood. I just remembered some details of my childhood reading so now I’m going to edit my response!
20-30 books??? Woa thats some serious reading! LOL!
Here’s to our wonderful obsession, {{cheers}} :0)

I can’t remember a life without books either! I wish I could still read the way I did as a kid!
Wow! 20 to 30 books that’s great reading.

Hi! Great question!!! (I posted last night, so I accidentally answered last week’s question–will have to do this one next week!)
I’m like you–I come from a reading family–Not long ago, I asked my mom why I remembered everybody else reading, but didn’t remember anyone reading to me–She said I was really insistent about reading all by myself–just like them–which is why I *do* have very vivid memories of reading along to audiobooks of Bread and Jam for Frances and The Three Billy Goats Gruff—over and over and over and over again—I couldn’t get enough of them!!!! And I’ve been reading ever since!!!
It seems most book bloggers began their love of reading at a young age! I remember being in shock at the library as a kid, because I couldn’t believe they would let me take all those books for free!

Great question – and great answer! Reading has always been a part of my life, too. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to read that many books in a week still? I’m lucky if I get 2 read in a week! lol
Thanks for sharing your reading story with us! What does your family think of your reading now?
Here’s my Book Blogger Hop
This is so totally NOT related to the Hop .. but I see in your sidebar that you’re reading “Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter” – probably my favorite read of the year thus far. I hope you’re liking it as well.
I also remember those library days … coming out with armloads of books and ZOOMING through them. I have so many books here now that my library visits now are for my Bebe Boy’s benefit, and he also comes out with armloads! LOL!
I have loved reading for as far back as I can remember. Check out my hop here
What a great question! I had to stop myself from waffling for about 8 paragraphs! It is nice to see so many people that are sooo enthusiastic about reading. You had a huge reading appetite as child! I remember going to library to borrow the books ‘The Babysitter’s club’ and ‘Sweet Valley High’.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
