My answer:
I do not re-read books, so I have a very small keeper shelf. In fact, there are only two books on that shelf – A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS by Khaled Hosseini and HIDDEN WIVES by Claire Avery. I loved both books and recommend them to anyone who asks me for a book to read.
A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS moved me to the core. It is such a powerful story of women in Afghanistan. The story is riveting, emotional, raw, and powerful. I could not put it down, even with tears streaming down my face. It is in my top 5 all-time favorite books.
HIDDEN WIVES is the first book that a part of my review for the book was quoted in! That is super exciting for a blogger! I really loved the book, too, so the quote was a bonus (it’s in the mass market paperback edition). It’s about girls living in a polygamist cult. Powerful stuff.

It always makes me laugh realizing that people who love the same thing (books) can be so different. I keep ALL my books unless I borrow them. And I always try to reread my favorites. I can’t imagine not rereading anything! I love the question this week!

I love to re-read, but when I do it’s normally more skimming than a thorough read. I usually only purchase books I’ve read or know I’ll keep.
I don’t really re-read books either, they have to be pretty special for me to take the time to do that. There are so many other books that I have to read! I haven’t read the two you mentioned and while I can read Horror, it’s the human atrocities that really get to me and I have trouble getting through those books.
I added both of those books to my library list so I hope they live up to expectation. I have shelves and shelves of books, but the ones I reread the most are my Harry Potter books! I could never give those up.
